Well we got a call this last weekend to let us know that Grandma Joan has Liver Cancer, it could be a matter of weeks or years....
So now the question is do we go out to see her? or do we just wait for the funeral? Sounds morbid. It is.
I've been itching to go out to see Grandpa Bob too.... After I spent so much time with him last year, I really miss him.
I always feel like I am worrying about the wrong one... Years ago before my cousin Chase passed away, we were in Utah. We went up and spent the day with Grandpa Ray, thinking of course he didn't have much time left. So we didn't rush back to spend the evening with mom's side of the family. 6 months later Chase passed away from Leukemia. The next 2 times we went up to see Grandpa Ray before he passed, I felt so guilty. How are we to know? How do we know which one(s) we should spend our time with? Who do we worry about?
So I have been spending all my time worrying about Grandpa Bob, and now it's Grandma Joan. Sigh!
So back to the question. . . Do we stay? or do we go? I feel like we should go, I want her to know how much she means to me. How special she has always made me feel. How blessed we have been to have her in our lives. How thankful I am for the way she took care of my dad when he was young. I want her to meet Levi. I want Levi to meet her.

I HATE DRAMA!
I'm tired of the drama.
I have eliminated friends that caused too much drama in my life.
I'm just sick that I have to deal with it with my family every time we have a get together. I'm tired of getting crapped on, beaten up, and trashed for taking initiative. . . while others get to slack off and still get credit. It's not about getting credit, it's about being a part of a family and doing your fair share, pulling together. Sigh!
That's what a family is, isn't it?

One Little, Two Little, Three Little Monkeys. . . .
Call me Crazy, I am now watching 2 one year olds in addition to Levi. So that makes three little monkeys. I thought it would be super crazy, & I was a little concerned if I could actually do it, but we did a trial run the last two days & it went GREAT! It was actually easier than just having two, I know that sounds weird but it was like the third baby filled in the gaps of, between diapers, feedings & naps. This of course will also help our family financially, but the real goal was being able to continue to stay at home with Levi & help out a friend who was unhappy with her current daycare center. Hip Hip Hooray!
Also, Doug got some great news for our family this week too. He was promoted to Supervisor at American Security! He will be switching to day shift and be getting a pay raise. So now we get evenings together as a family, this makes us happy. Plus since he had got full time hours in January we haven't been able to spend time with our friends, because of conflicting schedules...., so this also means we get to be social again :o)
Updates about Levi: Levi has been discovering all kinds of things lately, he makes a smacking lips noise when he wants something to eat, drink or his paci. He has also learned how to click his tongue.
He is ALL BOY, he loves gross noises, coughing, burps, farts, puking sound, growls... you name it , he thinks it great! He is very protective of his Mama, if Doug and I are goofing around and he thinks Doug might be hurting me or that I'm in trouble he gets really upset and tries to get in the middle of us.
Levi also really loves to rough house in the evenings, I indulge him in this... ok to be honest I LOVE IT, it's so fun to chase each other and hide just to jump out and scare him (which he LOVES), I duck down (in tornado position) and wait for him... if I stay still long enough he comes over and pats my back and screams... just for me to quickly grab him and toss, tickle and pretend to nibble on him... if it sounds crazy, it is, but fun is had by all. It amazing how much I love him and more everyday... I love to listen to him babble on, and learn new things, I am so thankful I have been able to be home and enjoy this special time in our lives.

Oh how time flies....
Well, I Started this blog then I lost it. lol But by someone pestering me ... here I am, FOUND! Well Levi Turned 1 on February 28th. We had a big Birthday party for him all the cousins and a few of his friends, on the 27th. The day went well, I think he was a bit overwhelmed. He did well with his cake too ... well except the turning red and swelling on the parts of his skin where the frosting got him... guess he is allergic to the coconut or palm oil they use in their butter cream frosting at Target. Who knew? The days following his Birthday were VERY CRABBY! I don't know if it was over load or the frustration of not being able to walk.. but he figure out how to walk by the following Friday (March 5th) and has been walking ever since. Shoes are a bit of a struggle, but we got some sneakers last week for him and it seems to have balanced him out or helped him keep his feet flat..or all the above. It's so fun to see him go go go.. and discover new things. Also starting last week the weather here in MN has been BEAUT-I-FUL! So we have been spending more time outside. Still to early to plant flowers, but I am getting excited to start.
It's going to be a fun Spring/Summer... we found a great deal on Craigslist.com for a swing set.... Doug and Dad went and got it last weekend. It's still all torn apart, Doug is going to sand and re-stain it all before we put it up. We are also a little torn about where to put it in the yard, being ours is long but not very deep, The best place would really be the side yard closer to the street, but that means we also need to fence the yard.... which we need to do anyways. Next would be cost and $$$$. I would really like to continue to do Daycare, so it all could be a write off next year, but that doesn't produce the $$$$ now. Sigh ... does it ever end? lol
Good News! The Girls (Secora and Taylor) are coming to spend 6 weeks with us this Summer, tickets have already been purchased ... so I think it's really going to happen. The Ex-Wife has been really accommodating, Surprise Surprise..... still waiting for the other shoe to drop.... The girls have been expressing how much they have been missing us... and want to see Levi.
There are a few more things in the making (no, don't even think about babies) but I don't want to count any chickens before they are hatched so you will just have to wait till the next Blog... when ever that might be. :o)
